  • During Hurricane Katrina, First Lady and Pastor Sims housed two families in need by providing food and shelter
  • Donations were made to other Hurricane Katrina evacuees sheltered at First Baptist Church in Oil City, Louisiana and a shelter at New Growth Baptist Church in Waskom, TX.
  • Provided financial assistance to the people stricken with an illness, laid off workers and people fallen on bad times
  • Coats collected and distributed to needy children and adults in the community
  • Missionary Sims helped a family whose home was destroyed by a fire. She went to a local furniture company and they furnished the family's home with furniture.
